As preparation for semi-final performances got into full swing in the last episode of God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT7), the contestants were clearly seen making the best of boot camp trainings to horn their skills. The twenty semi-finalists not only got involved with inspirational teaching sessions, they also enjoyed the make-over process for an amazing photo shoot with celebrity photographer, Kola Oshalusi.

It’s just a few more days before these 20 contestants that includes Immaculate Benibo and Favour Samuel selected by wild card will know their fate. This weekend, GCGT7 will broadcast performances of the semi-finalists and reveal contestants progressing into the finals in two separate episodes of the show this Saturday, 17th June and Sunday, 18th June 2017. We call it a double treat delight!

For the contestants, being a semi-finalist has been an awesome experience, but winning the grand prize of 250 million Naira Management deal, 10 million Naira cash and brand new car will be a dream come true. Speaking on her journey in the competition, 10 year old spoken word artist Sophia Albert said “This is first time I’m staying without my parents for more than one day and I miss them very much and want to make them proud”.

However, 20 year old singer, Gloria Ekundayo said her aim in the competition is to learn and improve her skills as well as enjoy blessed moments with her new GCGT friends. In the case of 11 year old drummer, Joshua James who is ready and charged, he is nursing the expectations of being selected by the judges for the live television show of the grand finale holding in Lagos next Saturday, 24th June 2017 at Eko Convention Centre.

In the meantime, audience are in for a bigger treat this weekend as voting lines will open from Saturday 17th June 2017after top ten finalists are revealed at the semi-finals. By the way, there is a celebrity judge joining the panel of Kaffy, Omawumi and Tee-Y Mix just as the main anchors, Uti Nwachukwu and Ayo Thompson take their spot as hosts.

An optimistic 9 year old gospel rapper Goodluck Ajiririeloja who wrote his first song ‘Baba God Dey’ at age 5, believes the professional coaching from celebrity lyrist, Protek about how to use rhymes will endear him to gain high votes this weekend after his performance.
