Nigeria’s No. 1 beer brand, STAR, on Saturday the 6th of May 2017, gathered some of Nigeria’s most accomplished and celebrated music artistes, DJs and football stars together in Nigeria’s first music and football concert, to battle out each other.
The concert is the first of three concerts to hold at different venues across Nigeria as part of Star Lager Beer’s new music and football initiative, #StarMusicTheFusion, which is a series of music and football concerts that combines the fun and excitement of Star Music Trek and Star Super Fans Show on one platform.
The event which held at the Balmoral Marquee of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos saw six (6) teams comprising of two top music artistes, a DJ and a football star compete against each other in a series of live performances.
The concert also had in attendance many STAR consumers, football fans and music lovers who got exclusive invites to hang out with their favorite stars in an ambience of unending fun, excitement and music.

Commenting further on the #StarMusicTheFusion concert, he said: “You saw the crowd that was here tonight. You saw the A list DJs, music artistes, sports legends and celebrities that were here tonight and you also saw how much fun everyone had. That’s what makes #StarMusicTheFusion concerts special. This is the first of three for this year and we can’t wait to take it to other cities in Nigeria.”
Some of the celebrities fans can expect to meet at the #StarMusicTheFusion concerts include 2face Idibia, Kanu Nwankwo, Wande Coal, Yemi Alade, DJ Switch, Jay Jay Okocha, and Victor Ikpeba. Others include Davido, Reekado Bankz, Falz, DJ Lambo, Colin Udoh, Ann Chiejine, DJ Sose, DJ Consequence, Kiss Daniel, Humble Smith, DJ Big N, DJ Neptune, Ycee, and Adekunle Gold among others.
STAR, Nigeria’s No. 1 beer brand, was introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949 as the first indigenously brewed beer in a market that was dominated exclusively by imported brands.
STAR is largely responsible for the growth of the Nigerian indigenous beer industry as its success story has influenced the introduction of other successful brands.
